Current Projects
Bolivia: December 2019 After many successful trips to Bolivia, Firefighters Without Borders will be returning to Bolivia in December 2019 accompanied by CESO International to provide equipment and training to a team of volunteer firefighters as well as supervising officers. The focus of the project will be training on a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, the wearing and operation of it as well as its conditions for use, maintenance and safety specifications. The project will also devote time to firefighter rehabilitation, mayday recognition and rapid intervention drills. St. Lucia: January 2020 Firefighters Without Borders has made a significant commitment to help improve the capacity of the St. Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) in the past several years. Due to a variety of economic factors, St. Lucia continues to have challenges in funding many government services which has left the SLFS underfunded and ill-equipped to fight major fire emergencies. In January 2020, Firefighters Without Borders have partnered with JFB Enterprises to construct a new facility that would allow a wide variety of training to be conducted under safer conditions for first responders in St. Lucia.
